A very rare Bristol cylindrical bottle coaster, with two lion-mask-moulded handles, finely painted in coloured enamels with two sprays of flowers and leaves, and scattered flowers, within gilt line and dentil borders, circa 1775, blue painted X mark and numeral 10. We only record one other of these coasters, photographed in the Albert Amor archive, which was sold to Peter Stephens in 1962
