Description
An exceptionally rare Bristol (William Cookworthy) pounce pot or sander, circa 1772. Of elongated capstan form, the upper surface pierced with a formal design below a crowsfoot border painted in blue, the sides with neat trailing flowers and smaller sprigs, a diaper border above, 7.7cm high, cross in underglaze blue
