Description

One of a rare pair of Champion's Bristol vases and covers, circa 1772-75, of baluster form, painted with colourful sprays and scattered sprigs of flowers including roses in red and puce, all on a bright yellow ground, within formal diaper and scrollwork borders in red and gold, the necks with diaper bands, the high domed covers similarly decorated, with gilt dentil rims and gilt fluted finials
