- Historic Provenance
- With Simon Spero, 1985; Gordon & Sue Guy-Jones Collection. Several pickle dishes of this type are recorded with 'Long Eliza' figures painted in somewhat of a cartoon manner. The paste varies and some show heavy crazing, while others, like the present lot are thin and cleanly potted with a good glaze. This appearance is fully consistent with a Lund's Bristol attribution.
