Description
A rare Bristol ogee-shaped teacup from the Butts service, with ear-shaped handle, painted in pink and gilt with wheat ears, lopped ribbons and bands, gilt dentil rims, circa 1775. Blue X gilt 10. See FS Mackenna, Plymouth and Bristol Porcelain, figures 49 and 50 for the slop bowl and a teacup and saucer from this service.
