Description
A rare Bristol ogee-shaped tea saucer from the Butts service, painted in pink and gilt with wheat ears, lopped ribbons and bands, gilt dentil rims, circa 1775. Blue X10 on saucer. See FS Mackenna, Plymouth and Bristol Porcelain, figures 49 and 50 for the slop bowl and a teacup and saucer from this service.
