Description
A rare Bristol ogee-shaped teacup from the Butts service, with ear-shaped handle, painted in pink and gilt with wheat ears, lopped ribbons and bands, gilt dentil rims, circa 1775. Grey X. See FS Mackenna, Plymouth and Bristol Porcelain, figures 49 and 50 for the slop bowl and a teacup and saucer from this service.
